Questions, answered.

The most common questions about our remodeling process, project timelines, and how we source materials — so you know what to expect before you reach out.

The Process

Every project starts with a site visit. We walk the space, listen to how you live in it, and talk through scope, budget, and timeline. From there we develop a design and a fixed-price proposal — no work begins until you've signed off on both.

We're a design-build firm, so design and construction live under one roof. For projects that need stamped drawings — structural changes, for example — we coordinate with a licensed engineer or architect as part of the scope.

Yes. We carry full general liability and workers' compensation insurance, and we pull all required permits. Certificates are available on request before any contract is signed.

Project Timelines

A typical custom kitchen runs 8 to 12 weeks on site, after design and material lead times are settled. Larger gut renovations with layout changes can run 14 to 20 weeks. We give you a written schedule before construction starts and update it weekly.

A standard bath suite runs 4 to 7 weeks on site. A curbless shower or slab-clad wet room with plumbing relocation adds time — we'll lay out the exact sequence during design.

We contain dust with zip walls and HEPA scrubbers, protect floors and pathways, and keep a clean, locked site at the end of each day. On kitchen projects we can set up a temporary kitchen so you can stay in the house.

Materials & Sourcing

We buy slabs and stone direct from regional yards, mill our own oak, and source brass fixtures from a short list of trusted suppliers. We bring you to the slab yard to pick veining in person.

Yes — owner-supplied materials are welcome. We'll review them for fit and lead time during design, and we handle installation the same way. Note that we can't warranty owner-supplied products themselves, only our workmanship.

We track lead times before the contract is signed and build buffer into the schedule for anything with a long lead. If something slips during the build, we flag it immediately and propose alternates so the schedule keeps moving.
